Glue Letters

I love pinning, in fact I have so many pins I wonder if I'll ever get the chance to try them all. Christina, The Frugal Homemaker, participated in The Nester's 31 Days with her series 31 Days of Pinterest: Pinned to Done.

What a fun month it was following Christina as she completed pins from her board and showed us the results. So much fun, she motivated me to get moving on my own boards! I now have a 'Pinned & Done' board and I love when I can transfer a pin to it.

I want to show off something I did that took maybe 10 minutes, not counting drying time.  I had pinned a recycled jar post from Brooke at Pure and Noble and knew I could have fun with this.

I love the one with 'raindrops', I will be trying that soon!

I had some dollar store plastic containers and needed one for my elastics. Why not spruce it up a bit using Brooke's idea!

I wrote elastics on the front and traced it with my glue gun. I was worried the glue would melt the plastic, but it worked fine. But I ran out of room for the last 's'.

After the glue dried I spray painted the outside of the container and lid.

I did a couple more, one for screws and one for finishing nails using an old prescription bottle.

At home in my cabinet.

I love my new little containers! Simple and so fast. Thanks Brooke, for the inspiration. Now that I feel comfortable with this, I plan on using old jars and bottles. Maybe I'm going overboard with this one...

Now it's time to take my computer in for service. I sure hope it doesn't take too long, but boy will it be great to have a computer that runs properly. See you in a few days. :)
