Georgia O'Keeffe Print, 'White Pansy'

Last weekend, my daughter Janice and her friend Carrie went to Ottawa to visit the Van Gogh exhibit at the National Gallery of Canada. While they were there, she bought me a present...a Georgia O'Keeffe print, 'White Pansy'! It is so beautiful, I just love it!

I had the perfect frame for it. One I had picked up at a yard sale and was waiting to figure out what to do with.

I decided to paint it and started out with home made chalk paint that I added a bit of green acrylic to.

The print didn't look right in it, so I mixed up a batch using a blue acrylic. And bingo...it worked! I decided not to distress it since the print is so crisp & clean. I think the colour really compliments the O'Keeffe print.

I just love this print in the new frame! Can't wait for Janice to come over and see what I've done...I think she'll be pleased. And now I just need to find the perfect place to hang it.
