Silence is Golden

My computer was hacked...I found out when my sister and a friend emailed saying they received spam from me. Oh no...everyone on my email list received this. If you did, I'm so so sorry. I hope the fact that there was only a link in the body alerted everyone that this isn't a type of email I send out. (aside from the fact I rarely send emails)

After 6 hours of a total scan I found I had not one, but two trojan viruses!

I spent my day off cleaning and searching...only to find I didn't have virus protection like I thought. I was offline...afraid to use my computer for fear it would happen again. After a lot of researching, I found out the protection I put on my husband's computer when he bought it was good for up to 3 computers. Why didn't I know this before? And why didn't I put it on mine? I'll never know, but now I'm protected.

So now I have over 300 emails to go through! Good heavens...I think most will be deleted after a quick glance...who has time for this? And I have completed a bunch of projects I'd like to blog about...now to find the time to edit the pictures and write about them. Feeling quite lost right now, aside from the fact I'm way behind on the above, I have so much to catch up with in blogville.

And this morning my computer crashed not once, but 3 times. I don't know what is going on, but I've spent hours today moving pictures and documents to disc and deleting lots of items I don't need any more. Larry has told me to take the tower to get cleaned & repaired. I'm so afraid I'm going to loose everything. So please bear with me while I work out these problems I'm having...hopefully I'll be back up and running soon.

Sharing some pictures of one of our gardens from last season.
On a cold day, it's nice to remember the warmth and beauty of the summer gardens.

Silence is golden...but I sure miss all the 'noise' on my computer. It will be good to be home when all this mess is over.

  1. How lovely to see garden photos on this dull and dreary November day. Hope you have your computer problems solved. You aren't the only one that has been hacked. I was reading on another blog that someone else was too.

  2. Ugh - my email has been hacked before too - no fun! But I do adore your hostas and sculptures - especially that gnome. Maybe he can visit my gnomes for a playdate!

  4. What a pain! You are the second blogger this week that I have read is having issues with hackers. I hope you get things sorted out soon. On a happier note, I really like the mix of hosta leaf shapes and colors. Your little decorations are adorable.

  5. WOW! That totally stinks! What an inconvenience. I'm happy to be checking back in with you, have been off pace for a while because of house guests. Tour guiding is a much more fun inconvenience than you've dealt with.

Thank you so much for visiting! I truly enjoy reading your comments and will reply as soon as I return. I had to enable word verification because of the amount of spam I receive. This site is not active any more, so sorry for the inconvenience.
