We had a workshop this past weekend on planting a succulent wreath
and boy was it fun! A group of women signed up to create their own while we
demonstrated how to. It was a great time, everyone laughing & carrying on,
and other customers dropped by to see what was going on. The cashiers were
saying so many people talked about the activity and asked when another one was
happening! And a few saw our old pallet planted up with vegetables and annuals,
looks like we'll be doing a workshop on skid planting next spring.
We held it under the shade-cloth down by the hoop-houses, great
spot since we didn’t have to worry about sweeping up afterwards! ;) Usually
they are held in the potting bench area inside the store. I think this spot
worked out great because of the exposure, it sure generated a lot of interest! Our
workshops are popular, especially the Christmas greens ones…and the ones held
after hours for private parties!
Ok, now it's time
for me to make one for my own home! I'll be sure to include step by step instructions
before I show you my final product. They really are beautiful hanging on a
sunny door, wall or fence.
Getting Ready for Canada Day this weekend!
One of my planters at home decked out already. :)
